This piece features soft pastel hues of blue, purple, and orange, with bolder more saturated tones of sienna in the face of the woman focusing intently on the cloud elements rather than looking forward. This is reminiscent of the feeling of "zoning out" which all experience but is often much more magnetic and hard to pull away from with the neurodivergent experience. Originally when this was painted I was intending to work through the feeling of frustration at being viewed as a 'ditz' (the #1 term used to describe me by peers and teachers in primary/secondary school). However, in recent years I now view this piece as a celebration of all daydreamers and ditzes. There is a lot of beautiful work and creativity that has come from one's head being in the clouds.
This piece would be an excellent accent for a creative and colorful space, such as a children's art classroom or painting area, or a play room. This would also be a beautiful piece of office or lobby décor for any practitioner that specializes in mental health, learning disabilities, Autism, or ADHD.
This is an original one of a kind painting on 12" x 16" canvas paper. This piece has been signed in the bottom right corner for authenticity and sealed with a quality non-yellowing clear coat to protect the pigments from UV damage and fading. Once sold, this painting will not be repainted or recreated, aside from giclée prints. This means you will have the only piece of art like this in the world.
